Default Something really scary...

I was reading some TEC papers about the optimazation of TEC effiency. Any aways I found a graph that Dt/Dtm vs Qc/Qcm for differnt currents with an optimazation curve. This graphs showed that for our purposes the best operating range is 40 to 60% of current, 50 to 60% of Dtm, and the scary part a maxium of 20-30% of Qcm. So with a 80w cpu it would take 266 to 400 Qcm. I dont know about you but the largest TEC I can get is 275w. This would put an 80w cpu at 50% of Dtm, and 60% of current max. So acual numbers would be 16 amps, 34 Dt and a relatively low power usage of 144w.

Reading it over right now...

BTW: under full load, many contemporary CPUs put out more than 80w, and I don't consider 144w "low" relative to anything except a cascade system.

144w is low when compaired to the beastly pelts that pull 15v at nearly 20 amps. Also you are right most do but I was under estimating but my 2.2 g amd clawhammer has a max thermal design load of 79w.
