Default 1100 Mirror?

I have a copule snap 1100s. Both have V2, with 160 GB drives.
I bought 2-WD 250 GB drives, upgraded to the latest os, did the HD to HD copy to move the os to the new drives, extrended the partion. The Snap recogonizes 1 drive fine. On the debug page I ran

BIOS Unlock
BIOS MODEL 2
BIOS LOCK
REBOOT

Config Devices config mirror
here it gives me an error saying this can only be done when 2 disks are present.
I have dried pluggin both drives into the same IDE channel and the snap won't boot. I have put drive 2 as a master, a slave, and CS but it won't boot the drive.

Am I doing something wrong or dows the 1100 not support 2 drives?

This hack is not supported, with that said:

You selected the wrong BIOS Model

Make sure you have a 3.5amp power supply.

Setting Model 0
Drive 1 as master
Drive 2 as Slave
Snap boots but only 1 drive is visible
Setting Model 0
Drive 1 as master
Drive 2 as master
System Boots, no disks found

Booting with Drive 1 system boots fine.
