How big around are your arms? *I'm bored

Um, everyone go get one of those flexible cloth (?) tape measures and see how big your arms are around. Maybe use a string, and then measure the string or something. Don't ask me why. I was just sitting here, NOT just getting back from the bar, dammit, because I didn't feel like leaving the house, and, well, I got bored. If U R bored, you can join in this charade.

Mine = 16.5" at bicep, 14" at forearm. I go to the gym tomorrow (missed last 2 days...aaaargh!), so I'm thinkin' maybe 17" when pumped. Is a 2.5" difference b/n upper and lower arm normal? Seems like not a very big difference. Maybe it's from all the typing. We'll leave it at that.

.....hehe. I dressed up as Hans last Halloween. I took two long sleeve T's and stuffed pillow filling everywhere, and then sewed here and there to make 'pockets' for the filling to represent muscles. Then I put on long johns, and stuffed the filling in there to make quads and calves, and then put on my grey sweats and lifting gloves and a big belt. I here to tell you, I sweated my ass off. But then, this random drunk dude stole my buddies hat and came running towards me, so I tackled him and pinned him flat on his ass. I let him up, and he started towards me, but then thought twice and ran off. (I'm 6'5", and with that padded suit I was probably 3' across!) ...it was classic. Maybe this year, I'll actually find somebody to be Frans, so I can stop telling people, "Oh, Frans went to the bathroom. Sorry." ..you know the deal.

15" Upper arm
12.5 lower arm

They've seen little to no use lately Damn computer addiction

But... just got a Weider 9400 full gym system for $400, and will get a few odds & ends to suppliment what that can't do. It's been too long since I've worked out, and I've become weak & have a nice "computer desk gut" - similar to beer belly, but due to differing circumstances, lol.

I'm pretty strong over all, but being 6'6", I just don't show it as easily as the shorter guys.

exercise is your friend. If you've never really worked out, it wouldn't be difficult to add an inch to your upper arms in a month's time.

I just wanna be like Steve. *hears Joe & Brad laughing*

My 5th grade geography teacher made us all memorize a US map. Go ahead, ask me anything.

Actually, I did a quick net search, and that's what I came up with. When Joe said "wow", I wasn't sure if he was talking about this thread, or about the fact that I didn't know what SLO was. I had to find out, ya know?

Oh... I was born in Sacramento, but lived there for less than 2 yrs.

Cmon people, DO play along and break out the tape measures... It'll be fun.

I would play along but two things are going against me:

1) no nice tape measure

2) I am afraid that I might take first place for the smallest Bicepts

hehe... see, what you do is you take a piece of string and wrap it 'round the arm, and you mark how far it went. Then you measure that length of string. ... a simple google search (I'm sure) would have told you that... hehe. I've been drinkin' again. wheeeeee.....

yeah I will try and find a piece of string since i know I don't have one of those tapes. I have tiny arms. All my strength is in my legs. On machines I can press like 120lbs for like 10 reps on my arms and for my legs I can do like 400lbs for about 10 reps. I plan to join a gym when I go to school and try and bulk up and just keep in shape.

yeah, legs are important.. but those machines can be deceiving. Depending on how the pulleys are set up, "120" on some machines can be alot. (free weights are much better anyway) The cable pull down, for instance, goes up to "20", which you'd think would = 200 lbs. Well, I can put it on 14 and hang from the bar, and I weigh ~200. Go figure. (can still pull down 20 ) pull ups are my fav.

good job w/ the mic wire. ....hmmm.. my thighs = 22", but they're not that strong. (working on it) They don't look big at all. I'm tall and skinny.

I just happened to come across my mom's tape measurer, so I measured.
14.75" bicep, 12.25" forearm.
I haven't been doing anything but olympic lifts.
A little concentrated hypertrophy work would get the arms up over 15".

I considered joinging the army but joining just to bulk up is kind of stupid. My dad was as little as I am when he was my age then he went into the army and now he is a pretty big and definetally strong guy. Like I said I will join a gym out in Arizona and try and keep a good schedule. ANd yeah you are right about those machines. All I know is that I was lifting as much if not more with the leg press machine compared to the people around me. I am a tall and skinny guy too, 5'10" 135lbs

As if I didn't feel weak enough already, I appear to be holding the title for smallest arms.

I also have the title for smallest thighs... lol... 18"

I guess that's where I got the nickname "ScrawnyBen"

I'm 16, and 5'10" and 135lbs...

Come on, there must be girlier guys here than me... *akward pause* right?

23, 6'4"+, and 200 lbs. Not THAT heavy for my height. When I started college, I was NOT strong at all. Skinny arms, man...

dude, 135 at that height would be perfect for cross country running.... legs might be a tad small, but running would fix that. I actually know several dudes your size.... fast as hell.
