I'm a big firefox fanboy. Prior to that I used myie2. I am not converting my family over to firefox just to avoid all the spyware/adware/bs tech support issues

I use Firefox at the moment. It's tons better than IE but still has some various minor issues that hopefully will be resolved in the next update. All I have to say is tabbed-browsing and mouse gestures rule!!!

well i need to start using firefox more. the thing i like about ie, is that it automatically opens music in wmp, but firefox waits for the whole thing to download

generally i think that i like IE better for downloads, but i need to use firefox more often. stick it to the man! take that bill gates!!!

eh I don't understand the rabid fanboyism. Firefox users still have to keep IE around for some sites and applications. Stability is now good, features are decently stable, and the integrated popup stopper works well. You can get all the tabbed browsing and popup features in IE with myie2 though, which suggests to me that it would be easy for MS to add them in the next windows version (they usually link IE version switches to a new Win32).

Yes, you can, but you also get all of the security holes. Kind of like an added bonus right?

That's 100% correct!

I love Firefox, but I run Crazy Browser too. CB is junky, but at least I can re-order the tabs. The funny thing is, I never need to re-order the tabs when I'm using Firefox...

For those that prefer IE this workaround that MS posted should make it useable again.

You guys forgot to include Opera in the poll. Its not as good as Mozilla, but it sure beats Internal Exploiter and AOLscape.

No prob, I don't think anyone who conciously has come to this site uses MSN or AOL...strange ones they would be if they do. But Opera's pretty good, at least if you can get it without the perma-banner. But if your friends are bugging you to get Mozilla, defintely go there. I think the Opera guys invented mouse gestures for browsers (not sure though).

I use IE for probably 80% of my internet tasks, because I'm stuck with it at work and on my corporate laptop box. But when I go home, I fire up my water-cooled rig (when its assembled) with Mozilla, and you can feel the speed difference even browsing when you have fast silicon and efficient software. I'm loading SUSE this weekend and migrating away from Doze altogether, and my 'puter will run even faster...whoopee!

sry for big quote but whatever.

ty hal, and ya ino not many l33t modders use msn or aol, hehe. im now trying out some new browsers because of all the response to this thread. everyone has been pretty insightful as far as new viewpoints go. so now im using myie2 rite now, and i like it, at least graphically, but im afraid there is a bit of bloat with it. lots of new stuff running on the systray, but performance is not compromised, i feel. i will give mozilla a more thorough try. i like the fact that it is open source, as there are no profits flowing into bill gates' already buldgeing pockets.

gl with the linux m8, sounds like fun. ty + God bless

wow i love these emoticons - someone slap me plz!!

As above bead and butter for a wife, four kids, a dog and a cat. Though it's more thanks to PLCs and the need for SCADA fun, it's mostly windows based. VB RULES!!!

I had to come back and voice my opinion.

Had been using IE6 for years because Netscape 6 really ticked me off. Now with all the spyware out there (and plugging up my machine) I tried FireFox and I am really liking it. Definately recommending it.

Not only is it a great browser but it just happens to be my alias/gaming name as well

Cya
