Seriously thinking about the wtx case that Joe hacked up. I really want lots of room in a case after working with a AT case converted to atx for so long.

For me, I have an Antec SX1240 thats getting the works. Watercooling w/ chiller and dye, UV cold cath, normal visible cold cath, window, glowire, you name it. Hardwares gonna be a AXP 1800+, KG7, and 3x36GB SCSI drives off an Adaptec RAID card. Still deciding wether to cut a design or cut a window and use an applique. Also gonna give it a nice paint job. Any suggestions?

After that, my current box is being gutted and moved into a Lian-Li PC30 for lan party use... still thinking about that one. Its probably gonna be pretty basic... a few handles, maybe a small cutout or window.

my current box: (more than 1.5yrs old... this was from the days when 800 was considered blazing fast, all normal processors used slot cartridges and the concept of a window and light in *a computer?* was relatively rare

Here it is:

I got my Antec SX1240 here.. Just need to decide exactly what to do with it. Gonna be oddly similar to what IronHelix described.. but mine's gonna be better! (because it's mine.. of course)

my next will prolly be some el-cheapo case for my sister. i'm thinking "gay pride" motif and some feminazi slogans. she'll love it. then i'll hack the side out, put in a window, lights, and stealth the dirves. gotta have it done by april for her bday tho, so i may have to stop before watercooling....hrmmm

hehe, I wouldn't go to that trouble. Cut a hole in it for a window, and mount a pink neon in there. Thats about the limit of what I'd do

also, any una style fans at the bottom?

my newest victim is a version of an Inwin s500. very sturdy and modding friendly, small yet it has plenty of room inside and 4 5.25 bays. makes a great lancase with the ports on the front. 48.00 w/ a 300 watt sparkle. http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...tegory_Code=C1

going to put a ahndle on the top+straps and the front is begging for a blowhole

it's a great case..I have a friend who has bought 3 and he has no problems w/ 3 60gig HD's in RAID 0, 3 5.25 drives 2 3.5 drives a modded exhaust, 120mm blowhole and an Alpha PAL8045. you can barely hear anything...quiet as a mouse.

$48 is a damned good price for such a nice case with a 300w sparkle

anything inwin makes is good quality, but the looks of their cases is damned good too, and they don't skimp on drive bays either.

$253 for case only

This is my first watercooled case that I will be moding.

My goal is to make this basicly a silent machine. My current system consists of 8 fans and a SK-6 which is loud as a jet. I plan to use all varible speed fans with heat sensors built in to lower the sound when there is no load on the cpu.
