do high rpm drives really produce all that heat?
i see all these hdd coolers for 10,000+ rpm drives and it makes me wonder if the drives themselves really produce that much heat?

first gen 7200, 10000, 15000 drives have all produced a lot of heat, but all the current drives out there are quite cool. go to storage review and check how hot the ibm 36z15 runs, then check how hot the seagate 15k.3 is.
