thats $180 for radiators alone!!!! damn, why not go for dual heatercores? $165 for the pump
then $35 for the waterblock?? you could have put in a silver cascade in trade for two of those radiators..

hey, to each their own, but whats the point in the 4 radiators if your only cooling the cpu and northbridge? with that much i'd think you could cool, psu, GPU, hd, southbridge, memory and mosefts...

don't mean to critisise, just curious to your reasoning

trit187, on my original concept was thinking to use 2 rads, but, I sold my last computer. I ended up getting a bigger case and 2 more rads (my new case had a lot of space to be fill ). The way i conected the radiators as you see on my diagram was meant to reduce water restriction , so the way i see it is actually 2 rads working as 1 rad.

When I started this project I didn’t wanted to modify too much the case to fit the radiators, that’s why I used the Black Ice Micro rads. Easy to install and it saves space inside the computer.

BTW, did I mention this is my first Water Cooled rig?

Later on I am thinking to add a video card block.

Soon i be posting more pictures of my computer (still waiting on new digital camara)

Default The Flow Switch

Here I will explain the purpose of the flow switch on my computer. The Johnson Pump CM10P7-1 requires a 1.6 amp fuse, if the fuse burn, and without the flow switch protection the computer will suffer a terrible death.

When I started my project I had the Asus PT4533 motherboard, with this motherboard you can actually disconnect the CPU fan cable from the motherboard and the computer will stay on  , not all motherboards have the same glitch, but from what I learn reading on the forums, there are a lot of them out there with this problem.

After I got everything I need it to protect my computer from a possible disaster, I decided to get a new motherboard (I have a friend that wanted to buy my computer, so I sold it to him ), I got the Abit IC7-MAX3, and to my surprise this motherboard actually shutdown in 1 sec. after disconnecting the cpu fan cable (making things more easier)

There is also a cheaper way to prevent the computer to say on if the fuse burn, just use the same +12v DC pump cable after the fuse to supply voltage to the fan, if the fuse burn, pump stop, fan stop (no r.p.m. signal to MB), and your computer will shutdown, but it wont shutdown the computer if there is low flow from the pump.

It is sad to see that only BIMs were used to cool the comp. A massive heatercore would be a much better option, as well as a shitload cheaper, but if you have enough money to spend on 4 sticks of that fancy corsair, I'd say you can buy whatever you want.

EDIT: what is your overclock anyways?

This computer cost me around $2,500 (and while i was planing to "upgrade my old computer" i had an offer for it, so i sold it), and yes, i spend too much on the flow switch. to make the story short;

The flow switch i got was for a fail safe mod I created for my old comp, I had the flow switch before i sold my old case with MB, cpu and video card, after i got my new MB , i found out i didnt need the fail safe mod

My first computer was a Compact 5700 p3 500Mgz, i got it at sears in 1999 for $2,600 , i spend $2,500 on this one , so when i finish building my time machine, i be able to go back to the year 1999 and sell it for 20k.

When i was planing on this project i wasnt thinking on geting 4 rads, i had a Thermaltake case, not too much room for bigger rads, so i got 2 BIMs, after i sold the case i end up buying 2 more , i dont have them conected in-line, to lower flow restriction ( I was a M1A1 tank mech for 6 years, just trying to apply some of my knowledge i got on Turbine engines cool by oil )

I am not thinking about overcloking at this time, in 6 month from now, maybe

just out of curiosity... what happens in 6 months that will make you decide to overclock it then and not now...

I allready thinking on more upgrades, GPU Block, Case handles, pluming upgrade, and i also need to find the way to get the actual reading temp from procesor.

Also a better CPU block.

I just found out 2 days ago Abit P4 motherboards aparently report CPU temperatures 10c above normal temperature.Link

Alternatively you can get a flow switch (not a meter) and hook it to a little circuit that monitors flow and sends a shut-down to the computer in case of failure, like I am doing. A flow switch (say, a Gentech FCS-01) costs about $10,--.

There is other ways to protect your computer from pump death.

Here is a good post made by RoboTech on this issue:

Controlling Pumps and Initiating Emergency Shutdowns
