Looking for heat gun...
hope thats the right name for it. I'm looking for a tool to shrink heatshrink or atleast an effective method.

Ust use a buthane lighter or even a regular match.
Im using one of thos small buthane hand torches thats good for almost nothing else... (If ure not on drugs ) |

a hair dryer might work. if you have a soldering iron you could also use that. you might try looking in your local hardware store for a heat gun (home depot has one for $25). if you dont plan to do a lot of heat shrink stuff, a regular lighter as pelle76 suggested would be fine, just dont over-do it as you could melt the wires insulation or burn the heat shrink tubing.
an alternative to heat shrink tubing that works nicely is liquid electrical tape (look in your local automotive or hardware store. i bought mine from Ace Hardware; useful when electical tape or heat shrink tubing is impractical). |

I've used a candle. That way I'm not trying to hold the flame source and the item at the same time. It makes it much easier to spin the item to get an even heat.
