What do you guys think of this case?
Well after going back and forth for a week now, I finally found home for my Danger Den setup. This thing has mod written all over it. I can't wait to get it back from the local powder coating shop!

seriously nice. You could put quite a few heater cores in there

Yeah.. I spend most of last night just figuring out the layout of the water pump, rad, and res. I got the DD super cube and that mutha is very long. It will fit nicely in the 120mm fan opening in the back. Now I must figure out how to duct the rad air out of the top of the case.

whereabouts did you find info on powder coating?
I've called a grip of automotive shops and no one here in SD seems to do it. |

A powder coating kit isn't TOO expensive.
I think the website is eastwoodco.com or something like that, I get their magazine all the time. |

I think real powder coating is electrostaticly applied, then
baked. I can't imagine doing that from a "kit" Hey bro, what color are you having it powder coated?

Well I just got my case back from my buddy NOT POWDER COATED. It seems he said that he could get something done which he really couldn't.

I have the identical case, except it is white. These Chenbro cases are absolutely awesome for modding and watercooling. I have a double loop system with two pumps, a chiller, heater core , two reservoirs and two power supplies all fitting on the power supply side of the case. I have clear access to my mobo, no wires, or tubing except the CPU block lines.
You should have a lot of fun with this case and end up with an awesome system. |

that sounds really cool Jim, do you have any pics of it at all?
I'm particularly interested in where you put the radiators

I agree with Brad.
Jim! Do you have any pictures to share? I plan on putting the DD super cube right at the 120mm opening in the rear and vent it out the top. I spent this weekend primering and painting all of the metal black. Looks good so far. I will post pictures once I get all of the plastic back on. Black on black looks nice and clean! |

Here's an update
Well after spending way to much time and money on this project, I finally have started to install the goods. This is the water side of the Chenbro cube. My question is, I have no place to put the damn airtrap I spent two days on. Seems like there is no easy way to fit it into this configuration. My thought was to just add a 1/2" copper "T" in between the radiator and pump and make the fill tube 1". This could serve as both fill tube and airtrap. What you guys think?

that'd work fine, but as for any air trap, the exit must be quite low so that the air at the top of the air trap doesn't get sucked through the loop
