Default Snap Server 210 Upgrade

I have a 2006 Snap Server running Guardian OS 4.2 with 2x 250GB SATA drives.

Is there any reason why I can't swap these for a couple of regular 1TB drives?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know. We had a user come through here a while back and tried with out any luck. If it will work this is what I think your best chance would be. Reconfig the unit for seperate share. Then power down and replace drive 2. Power up and see if the OS is transfered and see if you can config the HD for the 1T space. The last users that tried was capped at it's original cap.

Please let us know on how it works out.

Success!

Did as you suggested pretty much. Booted with original drive in position 1 and new 1TB drive in 2 and configured the new drive.

Then booted with just a single new drive in slot 1, shutdown and added the second. Able to create RAID0 & RAID1 arrays with the new 1TB arrays.
