12 DC V Pelt on Case LIAN LI
What do you think about the mad idea - to place 12V DC Pelts on Case Lian Li PC-68 so that it was the heatsink for spreading cold inside the case? Then the second heatsink (say, cooper sheet with a fan) will spreed heat - outside from the case.
Thank you. Leon |

Yup that would be particularly useless. No effect unless you are running a couple kW of pelts, then you have condensation isues on the surface of the whole case. You would still need a hsf on your proc. so no gain there. You would also have ugly heatsinks stuck to the outside of a gorgeous Lian-Li case, and fans to cool them.

I'm going to have to sheepishly admit that i actually tried something of the sort once. I swear it was just out of bored curiosity! Suffice to say that itty bitty thin sheet AL will not cool anything. The "heatsink effect" ad for Al cases is just bullshit.
