ill show you! im getting 14 mixed fans (2nd hand) from a friend for christmas! i also have an old "victim" case and a pair of bad pliers. i will make the most monsterous air cooled setup ever! whahahah! whhhahahahah!

ill get back to you on this one.

seriously though, one of thems a papst 120mm and theirs 5 black label deltas 80mm too. that lot will be on the side panel!

Air cooling is for those who are can't afford watercooling yet.

I spent my 36 bucks on a SK-6... I now have everything except my drill press... Once I get that, watercooling will comence!!!

Yeah aircooling is crap....

(Check out the earlier post) Thats why my cpu (XP 1800) temp is at 36.5 c under full load...... (artic silver must have settled a little more.)

14 fans? Are you deaf yet? Aside from the fact that that probably isn't the correct temp if you are using the Mobo socket probe (air seeps into the socket and throws off the temp) you setup is undoubtedly loud as hell. I can get those very same temps with 1 fan at 5v and VERY VERY quiet (Bladerunner is the only truely silent watercooler).

wonder how many people that have tried to make an cube in thin aliminium and put 5 fans on it and the side W/O fan (hole there, like under all fans) facing heatsink. that would push pretty much air through it, even if u use quiet fans.

I'm stuck with this pos air-cooled rig can't seem to get below 34c under load.

haha air cooled with what? thats only a 6c diff between ambiant and cpu....some watercoolers dont get that

I'm using a swiftech mcxc 370 w/ a duct with 120mm fan at one end and a 80mm at the other. before I used the duct 1612 was as high as I could go without errors and right now I am at 1654 vcore is 1.95 my temp has rosen to 41c full load

acually 1c over case temps thats the beauty of a duct is that it's getting fresh air from outside of case which I estimate at 23c
