Default My case temps are they high

1800 xp amd not over clocked
case temp under load 96 f
cpu temp under load 124 f

Do these temps seem high or are they about right for air cooling

with my new case(SX635 Antec), with only one fan at the back...thats about what I was getting...

I use a Software cooler called VCool and it drops CPU temps by 5-10

Which I have had 100/100 temps.

So I guess its normal...but not desired as I'm used to my case being below 90F with a few fans.

It depends on what your ambient room temp is... My temps run like this:

XP-1800+ @1610 MHz
Case temps 2-3 deg C over ambient
CPU load 40-42 deg C with SK-6/Sunnon 27 CFM
Ambient room temp 23-24 deg C

My XP-1800 computer

Good luck,

You'd be suprised how much of a difference thermal paste can make if you've forgotten it, but it most likely is your case cooling which is to blame.
