Looks the same as some pics i saw on a site, that where pulled off shortly at apple request.

So size and potential longevity aside, are there significant performance differences between the new D4/mcp650 and this new DDC?

From their respective specs (DD + Swiftech):

D4/MCP650 (muffled version):
Maximum flow @ 12 volts = 5.28 GPM
about 0.9GPM @ 8 feet
max head = 10 feet H2O

Laing Delphi DDC:
Maximum flow @ 13.5 volts = 1.75 GPM
about 1.15GPM @ 8 feet
max head = 14.5 feet H2O

I suppose the maximum flow rates are given for 0' head.
I would like to see both pumps in the same graph...

This seems to be the pump for switching back to 3/8" tubing and plumbing GPU, NB, CPU, etc all in series...

swapping the DDC for the MCP650 in a small system with a MCR120 and MCW6000 saw the flow rate drop 0.05gpm with ~+0.15° at the die

it was quite a trick to get the pump running, not at all what we figured here

have to say that this pump is extraordinary for its size and output
but not cheap, nor dead quiet

Will the DDC come in 1/2" flavor? Have you done DDC vs. mcp650 testing with the mcw50 in the loop?

That is kind of strange. From looking at the pump curves, that implies a pressure drop in the system of around 8-10 feet which seems high.

Alright so here's a new graph with the 12V info that Bill provided. It also has an interpetation of Bill's test system, it has a 3 gph drop from MCP650 to MCP350.

wow..... a pump that small with flow rates like that. Delphi must've invested quite some time and money into this little pump, especially since it's going as a stock cooling system into an Apple.
