Anyway, looks like generating curves for a theoretical system will be need to be "pick all your piece and then push 'graph' and wait for it". Pump curves will change instantly just like the water blocks do now. Wonder what the ISP thinks of the many thousands of requests that pixel.gif has gotten today. |

Just for you Les, I changed how it draws the graphs in IE6.
I was hoping it was just my whopping 450Mhz K6-2 that was making Moz/Firefox sluggish. I'm beginning to have doubts about the pan-and-zoom concept--with two or more generated lines there's the potential for serious slowdowns. Other Firefox folks, how fast is your computer and is the movement annoyingly jerky? |

IE6 is slightly smoother, but FF works just fine. P4 3GHz.

Loaded the same in both (very fast)
IE6 is a little smoother but I still get tolerable results in FF 0.9.1 P-M 1.7, 1GB RAM, 128mb ATI gfx notebook (MY quiet and SFF computing solution)

I've started laying stuff out and have inserted a few functions. The exciting 'create your own system' thing doesn't work yet and the page contains no useful information. But, this will let you see where I'm heading at the moment.

THis looks surprisingly like a "pH get off your ass, quit playing Doom3, and generate tons of head loss vs. flow curves" moment to me.
This is going to get messy quickly. I am thinking that I will be forced to test some radiators before too long too... shit //edits: this will be another good reason to test some complete kits; we can have some real configurations with final flow rates known and see how close the model gets us

I had wondered why I hadn't heard anything back, but wasn't concerned enough to speak up.
Was it a big e-mail? Sometime they just drop big stuff. And that's my most reliable e-address. Edit-another thought: they are over-eager with killing anything that may be a virus. xls in zip might get through better. |
