I'm going to purchase 1gig of ram soon. Does anyone have a good suggestion?

That's very little information...
Maybe you should start by telling us which mobo it's going in, which CPU you're using, what you intend to do with the pc (like overclocking, ...) and so on.
Without that info, I guess nobody here can make a decent suggestion.

Sorry about that. Currently I have an nf7 motherboard, 2700 xp cpu, bfg 6800gt card.

I plan to over-clock a bit if it's worth it, but it's not necessary.

This is a bit expensive, but this is what I was looking at:

The PDP's timings match CH-5. Good RAM - especially at that price - but not an overclocker like TCCD.

Maybe I'm a bit off here, but you said you want to get registered memory yet I'm fairly sure that the NF-7 doesn't use registered memory. Okay, I'm nearly positive.


If you are only going to "overclock a bit" then the XMS series is basically overkill. Depends on what a "bit" is of course.

You might want to consider a slightly lesser priced set.
