Java FTP server on snap 2000
Hi all,
i have a little problem. I would like replace the ftp server of my snap 2000 by anotherone in java. I have found this: http://www.mycgiserver.com/~ranab/download/index.html but i am completly a nuts in java and i don't know how to install it. more over i am not sure it works in a snap. Can anybody explain to me how to install a java application in a snap and can give me a robust ftp server (i would like to make ftp with ssl for the commands only and not for the transferts) thanks. Re: Java FTP server on snap 2000
It is no where near simple.
I can't remember who, but someone did do it with that exact one! Sam

Re: Java FTP server on snap 2000
Some of the 2000 only had (like mine) 32 meg of ram. The newer ones had 64 meg. Inorder to run any kind of java it needs a minimum of 24 meg FREE. In the mega post "hack a snap 1000" one user was able to change the system requirments to use SSL for login.

Re: Java FTP server on snap 2000
There was one user that used the JAVA to handle the SSL. The reason we know what the minimium ram requirments are.
With 256 everything should run faster. One of these day, I may try to repair my 2000. Haven't had the time to work on the surface mount chips. Need to pickup an iron to heat all connection at once. Have the low temp solder. |
