old compressor
How can i tell if my compressor works before i start brazing,and do you guy's know where i can buy a direct die evoporater.I love this site i finally found all the info i want on phase exchange systems this my first post it won't be my last,thanks.

plug it in and see if it starts pumpin just dont run it for more than it takes to test it

thanks, just wanted to make sure now all i need is a vapour block do anyone sell them.

chances are u will need a start capacitor also, I have a compressor I am unable to test because I have no idea what capacitor I need....

Most compressors already have the cap, getting one without the cap doesn't happen too often.Although some that sell on ebay come with no cap.
But always make sure there is one and that it is connected properly.
