Default My pin style water block (base)

Here is a picture of the base of my water block. The block is a pin style base made out of copper. Flow control is accomplished using the top of the block unit (not pictured). The goal in the design was to have a block that worked well with and with out a T.E.C. I also had a hole drilled into the base so that a temperature reading could be obtained using a compunurse or similar. I decided to use a o-ring to seal the two pieces together. I will post more pictures later if anybody wants to see them.

I had a manufacturer make it for me. They used several different processes to accomplish this design as it uses a design incorporated in the top to route the water through the pins. This is the results of over a year and a half of testing. But to answer your question jaydee116 mostly CNC

Cool, that top actually fits into the pin array and guides the water through! Nice work.

im sorry to hear that happen joemac. F* that MSFT crap. i hate that BS. i always wonder why ppl hate others who steal info but everybody(most) use a MSFT OS. guess thats a different battle tho. anyways, i went to bluecooling.com and its the exact same block u have in ur avatar. or nearly. did u make any big improvements over the version that he walked off with? well i hope that you and friend get this out to market cuz i'd liket to see some numbers on your blocks.

Well, basically JoeMacs blocks are very good.
So far, our block has been a great success as to performance. We are hesitant to release numbers as, we are learning, numbers are relative as to the system as this forum points out in recent posts. Therefore we are seeking some independent testers whom we have NOT PAID to give us the facts and comparisons. As to the performance, we are hoping to provide an independent reviewer soon for our latest revision.
Constructive critism would be nice, as we only want to give the people a quality block with solid performance. We are going to be selling a dual thermistor compunurse product that fits into the block for measuring die temp, and ambient temp.

The only thing I can really complain about is the anodized Aluminum top. Just make sure your not skimping on that. Make sure it is a good type 2 or 3 hard anodizing. Have you considered trying a poly top?

I am using a type 2 anodizing for the Aluminum top. Currently I am exploring using a poly top for the next batch. Remember that this block was designed to be a happy medium for straight water-cooling, T.E.C and looks.

Not sure about numbers...can't remember much...this was back in 2000/2001 on a P5A board and the rig in the link in my sig. I just remember when I had a under powered peltier hooked up and was running 600MHz, at idle it was reporting 59F...but it shot to 120 under load because of it...so I say it was proably doing 90-100F on average proably without the peltier at 600MHz.

Since it was a heatsink, I bent a good portion off....then I took a milling bit and flattend the outside portion off. So techncally they aren't pins, they are fins.

But yeah, thats how we did it back in the day.

Bill, George was given $4500 to have several blocks manufactured and tested. Thykingdomcome told George to get a hold of you for testing after blocks construction. He was then given information to contact you by Joe (overclockers.com) after he finished evaluating it. Don’t assume that George even wanted to contact you. He didn’t even know who you were. He promised us that he had paid you in full. Now you understand what we are dealing with.
Also take note that the block you tested for us has taken two more revisions after you confirmed our data. It’s too bad you weren’t available to test the last two and confirm our data. The only thing left for us to do is confirm our findings.

LOL no dima y the only thing these two unit have in common is the same color. A quick look and you will notice that the base On the BTMS is not made of copper Etc, .

Default numbers out.. (in a way)

ItWe will post some testing numbers in about a week, around the time of our opening. We won't need to take preorders, as we will have plenty of units on hand at our opening and don't need to play waiting games.
