Well, it might not leak, you're right, but it would give unpredictable results. The pressure surge from when the pump turns on might cause a leak, it's impossible to tell.
Just tell us you won't do it again, ok? |

Mayb it would leek at about 10psi... who knows
O rings are meant to be compressed to seal.
