Default Grrr... Dang GF3

Dang it! Just got my new Corair XMS PC3000 CAS2 512Mb DDR piece into my machine and tried to get higher than 148Mhz FSB. I can get it up to 152FSB but at 155FSB then my GF3 craps the whole system out.

Well, the system will post then go into Win98 (dual boot w/ Win2K) and work fine until I reboot; then the video card will not initialize. I have to power down the whole machine, wait 10 seconds and power back up again to get a screen. Have to do this EVERYTIME until I drop the FSB back down to 152FSB.

Almost $200 later and less RAM than before just for a meesly 4Mhz increase..............

Why do the dang GF3 have to be sooo damn sensitive?!?!

strange, i dont have a problem with my gf3 ti200 at 157fsb but thats as far as i can push my system.... try more IO voltage or if you feel ambitious enough the AGP driving control... its a good thing to tweak if you pick the right code but i had a lot of problems with that and i actually had to flash my bios to correct everything... but from what i've heard most ppl just reset and its fine if any problems at all.....

Well...... Last night I did some more tests and found some very interesting results.

My CPU/MB can handle up to 164 bus. My Video Card can only handle 159 bus with "no init video after reboot" and LOTS of BIOS tweaks. The Video works correctly @ 152 bus.

Hmmmmm Well I guess I will just have to wait some more till I get my pelt on my video and try again....
