What flavor Pentium IV?
Which flavor Pentium 4?
Ok. So I've clearly seen about 1000 success stories about people OC'ing their Pentium IV 1.8Ghz (Northwood) processors. I myself have had great success with it.. Now I'm looking for another processor and I started thinking... I have my Pentium IV 1.8Ghz @ 2.65-2.70Ghz stable. But just as a demonstration 1.8Ghz means ---> 18 x 100FSB A Simple Overclock would be 2384Mhz ---> 18 x 133FSB Now instead of buying another 1.8Ghz... I was thinking about buying a 2.2Ghz because...... 22 x 133FSB = 2926Mhz! and thats only running the FSB @ 133Mhz. Look at 22 x 140FSB = 3080Mhz! Breaking the 3Ghz limit. However this is where it gets tricky.. Since Intel locks the multiplier -- both processors could very well be indentical except for their multipliers.... In other words they produce the same processor but just crank one up to near its max and sell it for quite more money. Any thoughts or ideas? Please post and let me know..

I got a 2.2 from the IPD program, and it won't go over 2.4 w/o hang ups (@ 1.75v) I haven't pin tricked it yet. I'm thinking seriously about sending it back.
