need opinions about potential setup

Hi all!

I just drew up a pic of what my potential w/c rig setup would be like. The only thing that bothers me is that I just read the Cooling Tech Explained article, and I think I have a "bad" setup as far as air bubbles might collect in the res instead of the airtrap. Well, take a look!

If the link doesn't work, cut and paste the link into a new browser page.

Thanks for any input!

change the file name to radsetup.txt then link to the .txt, it will work

about the setup itself, drop the rad a little bit more, and have a thicker shroud. it will allow more airflow, and because the rad is lower, all the air will end up in the air trap. Apart from that it's good

I see no intake fans, where will the 120mms and 80mms get the cool air out side the setup from?

Well, unfortunately I can't drop the rad because it's mounted on the top of the case (YY-cube). The Black Ice II was a little bigger than the website specs said it was. That's why I couldn't mount it inside the case. I might be able to mount it on the back, but it would stick up above the case about an inch.

Anyways, would it help if I had a taller res?
Would flipping the rad upside-down (so the inlet and outlet are pointing up instead of down into the case) help?

unrelated question: If I had a lot of elbow bends, would it be better to get an Eheim 1250 instead of 1048? (2 WBs, 1 BI II rad, 1 res, 1 pump)

As far as intake fans, I have 5 hard drive coolers in the front 5 5.25" bays, and there is an intake duct on the mobo side (not shown of course).

I could probably flip in 2 80mm outtake fans to be intake fans if need be.

Thanks for the responses! Keep them coming!
