"Y" Fitting Question
I want to add a second radiator in parallel to my 1/2" tubing system but for some reason I cannot find a 1/2" Y fitting in my area. I've got 3/8" Y's which can be adapted to use 1/2" tubing but still only have a 3/8" I/D, or I could use 1/2" T's but I don't like the idea of right angles. Which would be best?

5/8"OD Y connector would better than 1/2"OD, since it will be less restrictive...
You can insert 1/2"ID premium quality tubing (ClearFlex 60, Tygon R3603 etc) over larger 5/8"OD connector fairly easily... Just heat up the ends of tubing a bit with a hair dryer @ low setting, or just insert the ends tubing in to boiled hot water... Bruce

I placed a special order with a manufacturer for polypro 5/8"OD Y connectors in bulk quantities, and hopefully they'll be ready in about 2 months. I'm currently using Y connectors for garden hose with male and female adapters. You can find those here: http://att.dealtime.com/xDN-Garden--...ring_hoses~S-2 As you can see you can also get 2-Way hose connectors with shut off valves. They can be useful if you want to play with the flow. take care, Bruce
