One question: Do you have any cooling on memory or northbridge? 217 MHz (if I didn´t get it all wrong) FSB sounds quite aggresive to me.
regards
Mikael S.
Yeah NB is watercooled, and memory is Corsair with original heatsinks, but I manage to unlock 13 mp so now I can start same 3dmark benchmark runs with more agressive mem timings (yep I'm one of those nuts). Currently 2663 MHz 2.05V 19°C water folding 24/7

If I'm not mistaken N8 bought his 1700+ at newegg, and they are the same stepping as my JIUHB, he's not complaining one bit

Would u suggest retail or oem?

Thanks,

No, don't buy that that's a tbread A, DLT3C . You need to find DUT3C, the difference is in voltage also tbred A stepping and with A, and tbreds B steppings end with B. But the order code should be AXDA1700DUT3C

i hate to disagree with you morphling, but read the reviews people are putting up here. They are ordering the TBredA's and getting shipped JUICB 0251 TBredB's for 50 bucks. i just got my order in for one, cant wait till pay day to get a a7n8x deluxe to overclock that chip like a mofo....

Morphing1: It is true (for the most part). Newegg has been shipping JIUCB TbredB cores when the site states that it is a TbredA core. Airspirt and a few other have confirmed this. HOWEVER, if they ship you order one of these and you get a TbredA, you got what you payed for.

Its a crap shoot and even I am risking it

I ordered mine from Newegg on Thursday and am aniously awaiting to see if I get a TbredB.

Lets hope that Neweggs stock of TbredB's dont run out anytime soon

I was just replying about the codes, and that one was tbredA. But I'm wondering something else. How come everyone is buying from Newegg, aren't there any local computer shops where you can check for inventory and codes before buying, here in Slovenia I can do that in every shop

well....at the Fry's Electronics in Sacramento, you have to get a printed out quote from the people at the componets sections...take that printout and go to the checkout line, the checker take that paper to the guy in the chain-link box where they have memory and cpu's and such there and you get whatever he randomly picks out. Im not sure if you can request a certain core/stepping becuase i have only bought an xp1700 from them way back in the days when i didnt know jack shit about overclocking.

EDIT: just wanted to add that local shops around where i live are just junk dealers...only things they have are p2 300's and 5.25" floppy drives....

Pifffffff............ local shops around here!?!??!

They would easily try and charge me 2-3 times what Newegg is selling it for. Also most local shops dont know a Tbird from a Palimino from a Tbred. They just know its a x.xxGhz CPU and that's it.

I dont have a Frys anywhere close to me and quiet honestly I wouldnt go there and buy parts even if they were cheaper than Newegg. I have heard too many horror stories of firends and co-workers getting a steal from Frys, just to have it blow up in their face a few weeks later.

I have done a considerable amount of business with Newegg and they have YET to dissapoint me (not to mention that overnight shipping for the price of ground is always nice )

Uff, I never would have thought that this could be situation in US.
I also haven't heard anything bad about newegg, just to bad they don't ship internationaly.

And check this out I still haven't finnished with this tbred

Case on the window with cool air going through my rad. 1.2°C water for the test. And they said that on thursday we'll have a cold front comming Maybe I can catch that 100% oc. which would be pretty spectacular with water cooling.

Mine has been confirmed and shipped from newegg. Should have it Wendsday. I will post what I get here. I never had any probelms with newegg either. Only place I buy from. The local shops are selling Xp1800+'s for $175.00. Worst part is they are actually SELLING them. People just don't have a clue. Normally parts are 2-3 times more expensive locally than newegg.

I noticed something about Newegg though. After I made my order for that processor, then next day Newegg dropped their price to the $46.99 "BLOW OUT". NOW it seems that the price has gone right back up to the $49.99 "ON SALE"

Could there be a coincidence there!?!?

JayDee: How much did you pay for your XP? The $46.99 or the $49.99? Also let us know what chip you get when it arives.

I don't know. I got in on the 46.99 deal. Even if it is a A version I don't mind so much. If I can hit 1600mhz or so I am good with that. My best board only has a 12.5X multi anyway. I got one of the better XP1600+ and am stable at 1740mhz. If I can match that with the new one i will have two good DC crunchers.

hmmm....i noticed that too jtroutma. i got mine on the 49.99 deal about 12 hours before they went from "SALE!" to "BLOW OUT!", best of luck to those that are in the process of getting their tbred-somethings...

ive been looking around online and noticed about 3 different low end tbred b steppings. JUICB, JUIGB, and JUIHB
can somebody rank these from best overclocker to worst if possible?

edit: oops wrong person

JIUHB is definetly the best overclocker.
But you definetly got some very cheap cpu's there. Here after looking at latest currency exchange rate (boy is USD is at all time low)
1700+ cost 83$ here, but can I still find some JIUHB's or at least JIUCB's

Well, I took a gamble and got another one of those Tbreds from Newegg with the "increased" price

Most likely I will just get burned again but there is a slight chance that I might not. If I do, well I will just have 2 good CPUs to sell to my customers.

I hope this gamble works

That doesn't always mean thats what you are going to get. They just have that up there untill they accidentally find out the stepping changed. Most of the CPU's I get from them have a different stepping than what they have on the site.

Looks like mine will not arrive till Thursday now. Seems to be taking it's time getting out of Cali.

I ordered two of these today:

http://www.vibecomputers.com/index.c...f=y&vID=138385

One for me and one for a friend (KnightElite). He has a pelt+ water setup, and I have H2O so we will see. If I can get over 2400MHz I will be very pleased; 2800 is absolutely amazing morphling1

dah! beat me to it pH! i got off work just now and was gonna post that exact link i found during school. seems its a +50$ USD premium on top of what newegg sells you, but you're definitely GUARANTEED a tbred B JUIHB.

im gonna ditch the tbred A i just got to a friend and put what i get from that towards one of those tbred's at vibe.

Not a stellar price, but I KNOW I am getting the stepping I want and I don't have to wait on customs to clear the chip or pay PST once it gets here. I could have had newegg ship to my in-laws (in US) and then have them send it to me as a gift, but this is faster.
