Ram sinks
Anyone here made waterblocks for ram? I've seen one pic ever of something like that. Never made a block myself. But if you ran a single or spaced apart pair you might be able to fit them on a mobo that can have one open space inbetween the 2.
Maybe something similar to a normal spreader, only a bit thicker, for flow. Maybe the same as a spreader, flow goes over top area of the spreader, and can fit a peltier to freeze the memory. Just an idea I had once. Dont have any money. But would love to see it. If someone knows where to post pics for display I'll draw something in paint to better show my idea. Throw in your ideas. Maybe somebody that builds these will try something. Not sure how high a water cooled ram or even peltier cooled would go.

Once checked RAM-temps with hand. Touched two chips on RAM-module, computer rebooted.
Copper is quite conductive, more than my fingers. Was it just bad luck with my RAM, anything suspicious? Yes, I´ve seen WB:s on video-RAM. Shouldn´t be there if it didn´t work. Is there a problem with conductance between memory modules on the RAM-stick? regards Mikael S. |
