How is this pump?
I got this pump at a bargain price. Will it work for PC cooling?

Re: How is this pump?
2 things to look at.
1) "Note: not for continuous duty such as pond or fountain pump use" 2) "Electrical Amps 10 Volts 12VDC Watts 120" That is a lot of power. Probably want to use a secondary power supply or a huge primary. |

Re: How is this pump?
Amps do not worry me. Impeller does. Could it be that since the pump is used for water possibly containing impurities that perhaps kills the impeller?
Impeller is made from some kind of rubber. Should I upgrade it to plastic one? I got this one for USD 20 with two replacement impellers, wires, jump jacks, hose 3/4''. It is brand new, never used. I can return it if it is not worth it. |

Re: How is this pump?
It says "Under ideal conditions".
That would mean that the 300hrs would be when using the cleanest possible water. If you're able to return it, I would do so. The other use for it would be its intended use. |

Re: How is this pump?
That is a "transfer Pump" not one made for continuous duty.
