new res
What do you guys think of this res/air trap so far?
Also I can't decide whether to put this intake near the top of bottom, any ideas? Last edited by dcrainman; 06-25-2002 at 10:50 AM. |

Put the intake closer to the bottom below the water line. Otherwise you will be plagued with air or foam in your water lines. Other than that, it looks like a good start.

Got some dimensions?
I'd put the inlet through the clear part, somewhere around the middle, it depends on the size. |

It looks about 2"
I like! Clean, simple, clear. I agree with bigben, put the intake around the middle.

Yep intake in the middle.
If you can try a "tangent" intake to produce less bubbles thanx to a laminar flow on the res wall. And if you're lucky enough - depends on res bottom configuration - you might end up with a tiny vortex. |
