Video card and Matrix orbital. I figure another $600 to finish it up.
The total cost for this upgrade is some where in the neighborhood of $2100 ( and I had all PC Parts for the xp 2000).

Ok, as promised a few pics of what I have been up to.
Sorry about all the finger prints I didnt notice them untill after I put everything away

This is the XP200 side of case, waiting on the final pieces to come in before I disassemble my working PC to load it into case.

This is the Barton/ NF7-S side, CPU (cascade) and Chipset cooler (swifty) installed. Swifty GPU is plumbed but waiting on card. Also the Home made Rad ducts that I made using Rotor's How To Article.

A/C filter in place under the Rad Intake fans

Same spot Filter removed

Back panel of case shows 2 Power supply's, NF7-S periferals connections and Rad exhaust fans

This Pic shows the 2 Sata drives, 1 floppy and the CD burner for the NF7-S side, The other floppy is for the Xp 2000 side, also looking at the top edge in the middle you see the power switches.

Simple Pic of Res and pump

Res fill location

Stupid Cat got in the way when I took this shot

I will post more when everything is up and running

you could save a little chunk of change by going with a LiteON cdrw, rather than a plextor. LiteONs perform as good or better than plexters and at less than half the price.

Liteon CDRW are , well the interior is anyway, Plextors. I'm assuming tighter quality control on the Plextors.
At best, they perform as good as.

No, I think its the other way around. Plextors are LiteONs on the inside. b/c LiteON ODMs drives for other companies as well.

I disagree , but hey, it's not really relevant, as the internals are identical (as far as i've seen). Chicken, egg, both are eatable .

Am I right in thinking that the case "bows" in the middle or it it just the camera perspective?

Quote:
Nice idea with the dual case and the like - I would try and get a metal supporting frame and affix the shiny plastic sheeting to the outside on the next(continuation of this) project.

Boli:
yes it does Bow with the face removed but when face is attached there is no bow. And yes that was a main concern, what you cant see from the pics is the brace on the rear edge that solved the problem on the back half ( 1x1 Plexi Bar running across from side to side) but with the removable face there was no room for a brace

Over all when all the sides are on it is a solid case.

wow that's a lot of effort! Nicely done. Are those Chevette or Escort heatercores, or Black Ice Extremes? One thing I can see looking at the pics is that you have a fan housing set up as part of the ducting from intake fan to rad. It may seem like a good idea (and a good fit) but you use a lot of airflow that way due to the shape of the inside of the fan housing. May not be much of an issue with 2 fans...

pH:
Bix rads.
The old fan housings are a couple of old Rad shack 120mm 120 volt AC fans that didnt work according to plan. So I ripped the fan parts and internal bracing out of them ( they are made of metal) and used them as a spacer. Seems to work fine, it just something I had laying around and I needed a spacer so I said Why not use these?
Oh and the spacers are on the exit side air is pulled from bottom and exits out the back of case

At one point in time I seem to remember that Someone was making the snowflake fan grills ( I believe it was Jaydee).
Question is are they still being made and how do I get my hands on some?

They will be available in limited quantity shortly one way or another in 120mm and 80mm in the brushed aluminum plastic. I have a bunch cut already but need to organize them and send them to were they will get sold. Next week is my last week with laser access so what I got cut now is going to be it from me.

They'll be sold through www.cooltechnica.com Bruce offered to handle the sale and shipping and the profits are going to Procooling to help pay for test equipment.

Updated Progress:

Got the XP200 PC loaded and running.
As promised a couple of pics as to why I wanted the case built to the size and shape it is.

Now you see why thge top had to have the step in it, My pull out keyboard wouldnt clear any other way.

Currently I am using a couple of my PWM controllers instead of the Matrix Orbital LCD's. This way I could control the noise from the fans ans use the PC's without fear of overheating the W/C sytem.
When the final parts come in after the first of the year ( Video card for Barton Side and the Matrix Orbitals, I will post final finished pics of everything. As it sits I wont pull the monster out of its hole untill then not even for pics

The only complaint I have with the set up so far is " I sure thought there was more room in there". Things are pretty tight on the XP 2000 PC side but should be less cluttered on the Barton side since I will be using on board sound and Nic.

The small black case standing next to the Monster is my old 900 AMD system, still chugging along

IT'S ALIVE !!!!

The Monster is up and running ( kinda )
Still waiting on the first of the year to get the new Video card and the Max Orbitals but, I Have it up and folding ( found an old AGP video card, Leadtek A180 I think is the model), Running my PWM controllers on both the XP 2000 and the Barton so if nothing else I have 3 PC's folding now.
I did kick the FBS to 200 on the Barton and it has been perfectly stable, so for under $100 I got the same processor speed as a 3200
Temps seem a bit hi on the barton but it probably needs to be remounted, or the NF7-S board reads hi. MBM5 shows temp of 44 degrees Celcius. XP 2000 Temps are 1 to 2 degrees lower than they were with the old cooling set up. 37 degrees celcius.

Hopefully as time goes on I will be able to get better temp data reading , but its not smoking hot infact the tubing feels fairly cool to the touch ( which is why I think its my mounting job that is in question)

I see the end of the tunnel on this project. Hopefully some time in January it will be finished.

I wish to thank all the guys that have given me input and Ideas and the helpful how to's through this project. I feel I am more knowledgeable than ever in W/C which should now raise me from the level of Moron to hopefully Pro Noob
