Default Re: 4400/4200/4500/15000 SATA Adapters

I purchased 4 of the adapters from Phoenix32 for a 4200 Snapserver at work. The unit is running GOS 5.2.056 SP1 and will be used for backups of all our wintel servers. The drives are WD 500GB RE2 enterprise drives.

The instructions he sent me were easy to follow and the mods were easy to make. I was playing around with an adapter of my own but it just wouldn't fit properly with the lid on. I also had no history on the adapter for reliability in a RAID application. The units from Phoenix32 fit well and look OEM when installed.

We have a second 4200 Snapserver for engineering files with the original 80GB maxtor drives. If there comes a time when we need more room, I'll buy 4 more from Phoenix32.
