Using other programs on the GuardinOS

Has anyone had any luck installing other packages on the GuardianOS Snap server? I would like to install Amanda on my snap and run it native to the server for backups. Any suggestion or pitfalls I should watch out for?

I've installed Windows Server 2003 for test and fun some time ago on a Snap Server 4500.
But the Guardian OS is much better, faster and .. BETTER!

The GOS is a closed system, but they do allow other applications to run through snap extensions. I do not remember where these were located at, thinking under Applications. I'm pretty sure someone has add a music extension, but I don't know who.

I am running 5.0.133 sp1 on an 18000 and have added a lot of SUSE 10 packages

It is currently serving media files to my tivo units via pytivo. Here is a list of what I have installed package wise. It is tedious but doable. Good luck.
