Default Anyone de-rivited a case before?

I have a new Lian Li PC-V1100B that I had planned to disassemble for modding (paint and plating). I was a bit bummed when I took it out of the box and saw that for the most part it is held together with small rivets.

Anyone de-riveted a case before?

Any advice?

Find a drill bit that closely matches the diameter of the rivets in the case (usually there will be a few holes not riveted for various reasons. Drill them slowly and they should come out easily.

If you want to try it the easy way, get a larger drill bit and drill until the head just pops off. Then take a center punch or something and push the res of the rivet through the hole. Make sure you put properly sized rivets back in.

I go through 1,000 rivits a job at work. They are all case size. Drill them out and re-rivit them. Not nearly as hard as it may seem. All hardware stores carry pop rivit guns and every size rivit needed.

yea I've done it many times. Usually 1/8" drill bit to drill them out

Steel rivets are soft steel. Too easy.
