Default Before / After tubing (hiding cables)

not a professional job but fellow newbies might like this

Before (sorta)

After

These tubes wont melt if it's next to a HD that's 100-115F right?

Cost: ~$7+tax at Fry's Electronics (Western U.S. store) with plenty to spare.

(White tubes so it'll look blue against an UV CCD. Too much? Yep, it's my new baby--Lian Li PC65. Sorry about the poor quality, i save-for-web'd it so it loads faster for broadband challenged individuals )

Nice job, but did you really need all those wires in the first place?? Like the SPDIFs from the CDROMs to the sound card? I never use anything I don't have to, makes it much simpler when you need to work inside and airflow is improved.

Here's mine for example:

it's actually my SCSI connector which i forgot to connect whent aking the first picture. I guess you can now call it my ghetto'd out "rounded" SCSI Connector (aka shove the flat scsi connector into the round tubes hehe). Since i need it for my Flextor drives, the audio cables can go along for the ride.

considering i have

2 x cd-roms (one burner)
4 x HDs
7 x used expanion slots

it's hard to make it look at tidy as yours (really wish i could).
click here if you care what each tube means.

Ah, ok. It's the SCSI then thats taking up all that room. Wow, you really do have a loaded system! The tubing is definitely an improvement upon the first pic tho. Let's see it lit up with that UV!

I'm also wondering how in the world you will ever get water-cooling in there even with an external setup!

GenGoku...Nice cleanup jub. The hoses are a bit much I think but definitely an improvement, and DEFINITELY better than mine. Anyone have any suggestions as to what do do with the fan & sensor cables? Using the 1/2" tubing I have seems pointless for one, maybe two, of those tiny wires at a time. Need to get some 3/4" or 1" tubing for the main power connection to the mobo, but.... Suggestions?

Here's a pic:

Well, I have another 10ft. of that blue tubing. Would like to use that where I can. I know that I need to get a bigger one for the main. But I'm not sure what to do about the sensor and fan cables. Maybe just a better layout that would keep them hidden....

i think you should hide your wires away instead of using those tubings. judging from the amt of tubing you used, it well greatly affect airflow

are you talking to chazz or me? in any case, how would you suggest hiding it so that the pwr connections still reach thoughout the system?

you can hide those excess cable (in other words power connects) into the drive bay or any place you think is possible to hide it. it will look more neat if there are less cable.

and i'm not trying to say anything bad about your cable arrangement, i'm just giving my opinion. i hope it doesn;t coz any misunderstanding. anyway nice effort

I never really liked tubes or rounded cables, but koslov, you did an excellent job with yours. Here's what mine looks like.

Those cables from the cdrom to the sound card arent there anymore.. but my case is being painted right now and this is what my parts look like at the moment. This pic is a little bigger 1024x768:
