*phew* what a pain in the...
I finally finished my system. Sorry if you click the link and get jack, hopefully the volume here isn't as high as some of the other forums.
LINK I'm not too terribly impressed with the temperatures I'm getting... I guess they're OK, considering that the ambient temperature in this room is around 75-80*F (CPU is around 36*C). There are a lot of ghetto points that I'd like to clean up... such as the bubble-wrap shock absorber for the pump. I tried to use foam, but it transmitted too much vibration; the bubble wrap works fine, and as soon as I get my relay done, the case will always be closed. I also need to cut a hole in the front of my case to facilitate air movement through the heatercore... but I won't have access to tools for a few months. |

What CPU are you trying to cool? What speed? Voltage?
That would be handy in order to tell you just how good/bad your temps are. Just as a comparison, my CPU runs 6C-7C over my case temps and I am cooling a 1.4Tbrid @ 1725mhz @ 1.85V. (Pathetic temps, I know. Hope to fix that soon) Otherwise looks decent.

Athlon XP 1800+ (1.53GHz) @ stock 1.75V. With my pal8045 ducted to a 120mm H1A, I would get about 42-43*C with my current setup.
On a side note, the ambient in this room is significantly higher than what the thermostat in my place is reporting, since it's in another room. :P |
