hot out... and in

so very hot

my temps are really high and i'm getting worried about my HD

CPU 46*C, Case 35*C, MB 22*C, HD 39*C

ya... my HD is a IBM 60GXP 40gig...
is it jus me or is that temp a little too high?

oh and i do have a HD cooler on too (2 fans)

Your HDD temp is fine. The faster drives tend to run warmer. I dont see any problems with your HDD running at that temperature.

I guess I am just use to seeing 10K Drives run at 45-50C

Yea

The drives should be warm to the touch but not burning

As long as you cant make breakfast on your HDD, you should be fine

The cooler is jsut added insurance.

I just get an 80mm fan, use a chrome wire finger grill and just let it sit on top of the drive. the grill lifts the fan a bit off the top of the drive, so the air can actually move.
