Default dual pump setup

hey all

I was wondering about setting a dual pump system up.

would have them in series be better? I'd think not since you'de only get a small water speed increase over the first pump from the second pump

If you ran them in parrallel, and had them both feed a 1 inch PVC pipe system (I plan to put one in my system so the hoses aren't so in the way) woudn't you get a better results?

also
If you have two un-equal pumps (say, an ehim 1048 and a maxi-jet 1200) and ran them in series, would you want the smaller pump first?

thnx
-,e

PS another question

I've got my 1/16 mill bits, and I want to know at what RPMs I should run them at AND at what feedrate I should run them at

thanks again

You can't run non-identical pumps in parallel. I explained this in another thread somewhere if someone can find it. I'm a bit short of time at the minute.

yeah, I imagine that the sronger pump would push the water back down the weaker one's tube...
