Default Snap 2200

I reset my snap server through the Admin site and now i cannot reconnect. The System light both blink together and the the disk light flashes twice. I looked at the wiki on led patterns but dont think any apply. I thought it might me in a diagnostic but its been all day and nothing. I cant even connect to the admin page. One of my hard drives died about 5 days ago. Any ideas

The 1x2 led pattern indicates it did not find a boot drive. I would open the unit up and swap the drive positions. In most cases it will boot. If their Maxtor's your on borrowed time.

In general once you loose 1 drive the other is not far behind it. I've seen the second drive fail with in days of the first. So when it boots do a backup of your data. Now is the time to do a HD upgrade.

Once you have your data backed up you need to backup the OS boot tracks. Without this you can not recover if you loose the second drive. Instruction for backing up the boot tracks in in the FAQ's and wiki. Or install a spare HD in place of the first and it will copy the boot tracks over.

If you have indeed already switched them, my guess is yes you lost your second drive. Unplug the unit and let it completly cool off. You may get lucky and it may spinup one more time. Then you have a decision to make. Do I want to recover the OS, or data. You may only get one chance. So choose if you want to brick the snap or save the data.

And may I ask why did you not replace the failed drive?
Redundancy only works when 2 drives are mirroring each other.

Without a image file to reload it, you will need another working 2200.
