Default Where to find it?

I am having trouble locating perforated metal except in very large sheets. Someting with holes very close together, maybe up to 1/2 inch diameter. Want to use it to make some custom fan grills, etc. I have found a few sources so far, but they want to sell you like a 4 x 8 foot sheet. I only want 2 or 3 sq ft.

I was about to link you HERE, for a glimpse of what's available in model train hobby shops. They stock perforated sheet, though usually very fine photo-etched stuff. Too fragile, I guess.

Larger screens litter scrapyards. I'm positive you can pick up some undamaged stainless steel screen or perforated sheet, priced by weight. Bring a screwdriver, and just dive into to the first monstrosity of used hospital machinery you see. If it's metal, it's there. I once met a friggin' 727 jet engine, perched on shower doors and defective scooters. More fun than mail-order.

Try mnpctech or search for "perforated sheet" at McMaster.

Have you considered plastic? Allelectronics.com has it, I picked up a sheet 12 by 16 inches.
