Default best way to seal tygon/acrylic joint?

I have an acrylic reservoir where I'm feeding some tygon r-1000 tubing out of the bottom (to feed the pump). The tygon and hole in the acrylic are the same size (1/2"), and the fit is pretty tight. What's the best sealant? I have some regular Home Depot GE Silicone II. Is there something better?
