Default Callibary tube length ?

I dosnt fully understand the cap tube. Why is the length a factor, and why not only the ID ?

Do I still have to use an specified cap tube length, if i use an exp. valve ?

well i will try to anser your question.
ok now you must control the amount of refridgerant going into the evaperator.
this can be handled basicly 2 ways.capillary tubing or tev vavle.
now the reason so much capillary is used.for one diameter of tubing first reduces the amount entering the tube and then the lenght of the tube give you more or less resistance for the refridgerant to pass though.
it is like draging you hand on the wall while you are walking down a hall.the longer you drag you hand the more energy you use ,and this and slows you down slightly.
same here ,longer the refridgerant has to drag down a long capillary the slower it becomes.

But if the length of the cap. tube is of any impotance, as you mention, then when using a tev valve you still have to use a certant length of cap. tube ?

I cant see that when the cap. tube is longer, that there will be more resistanse, but i guees i will have to live with that one
