Default dtek hc fitting sizes

their fitting sizes, are they in OD or ID...i called the guy up at dtek to ask if the 1/2" measurement fittings on the heatercore if they were ID or OD and he said OD...which means my 5/8" OD x 1/2" ID would be too big right

haha...ok i was all measuring while ago, so in order to make the fit i think the OD of the fitting must be the same for the ID of the tube..

Yep. Usually fittings are given with their OD, and tubing is designated by its ID, how convenient
So 1/2" tubing will fit exactly on 1/2" fittings...

Is it a bad idea to choose the next size up and jam the tube onto it?

Nope. As long as you're able to actually jam the tube hot water helps...

I just drill them out. Brass is strong stuff and with the hose we use theres no need for it to be so thick.

LMAO. When I wrote it I knew that was coming. Reminds me of "That 70's Show" (a TV program here in the states) and the mom was talkin about you have to have tang (tang is a fake orange juice drink it is also short for poontang which is aka p#@sy) in the morning with your breakfast.
