Feed rate? Plunge rate? rpm? for 0.5mm bit
Im cnc'ing a copper waterblock tomorrow with 0.5mm wide veins for the water to flow through (WW design). The veins will be 2.5mm deep. The bit is solid carbide.
What i would like to know is: The feed rate to set the bit at (going accross the block) The plunge rate to set the bit at (going down into the block) The RPM for the drill bit to be set at Any help would be appreciated. |

Glad to see you here; I was going to reply to your OC thread.
There's a calculator available at: http://www.robbjack.com/ It's going to be mind-boggling slow... |

Hi, whats spindle speed are you running? I would say for feed rate, take .0005" per tooth, calculate it from that and rpm. Plunge rate, it depends on the spindle speed. You better be hoping you have a fast spindle for that little end mill
