Looking forward to it! (anytime, bud!)

For those who missed it, JayDee116's "Lumpy channel" block design turned in some very impressive numbers, beating or matching DangerDen's brand spankin' new(!) TDX block.

See it here:

Which I have already beaten with another block called the R-Type.

It's on hold.

I'm still trying to complete my move, and I've only been able to concentrate on acquiring testbench parts, in the mean time.

I think Jon will do it, not sure.

It'll get done, but I have no idea when.

But it taught me alot and inspired my block design, so even if this one never gets made it did atleast accomplish something. Hehehe

Yep, Jon's out.

I'd need someone capable of making it (cheaply, of course!). I can provide the endmills for it.

Testbench has been advancing steadily.

aaaand the asian copycats are already on it. voila, this is radius how it looks in chinese:

I don't like the barbs and the top, looks like it cracks when you breathe too loud...
Maybe one could take that nice probably casted and nickel-plated copper base and peel the rubbish off with a hammer, remove some 8mms of the outer channels and make a better top for it from delrin or Makrolon with some nice G3/8" threads and a center hole jet in the middle. Its probably more useful for agressive watercooling then.

That is interesting. Wonder if they jacked it right out of this thread or a coincidence it is the same design (unlikely).

One would think with all the high level of schooling over their they could come up with something on their own instead of ripping off everyone else. Oh well, probably how the USA got to be a world power...

The fundmental part of the high level of schooling is based on copying. Why reinvent the circle when you can copy it?

It has often been said that one has to be rich before one can afford ethics and morals.

I know some chinese and korean Stundents studying over here because Education including studying at famous colleges is free here in Germany (at least it was until this semester ).
They are really good in everything what you can practice, math, drawing, writing, history etc. and they are nice to talk and work with, but as it is with most of them the case, they have no imagination. They have always had somebody to tell them what to do their whole life and if it was not the case for some time, they have a strict plan to follow. Why would the imaginate something new when they startet to obey every rule and learn hard since their birth? When they come here, they first seem to follow very strict plans but alwas ask for what to do. It is a pleasure to work with them in this time cause they can help you where you tell them. Then there is a time where they don't know what to do and cause of that just do nothing. And maybe after that they start to make Plans on their own.
I have also met very different asian Stundents, but that were exceptions.

I really prefere the unenslaved way of self-developing, i don't get as much expert knowledge drummed into me, but the gift of unique abstract thinking that we have is much more value to me.
If you don't have that, you can't help but be a copycat.

So they don't teach "don't steal from others and profit from it"? Should be common sence. Oh wait: http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=13262
