Default Any reports on the Corsair DDR400 mems?

Lookin' to snag 1 512mb DIMM of DDR400 before prices get too high. My choices are GEIL, Corsair, and OCSystem, according to pricewatch. Any word on these? I'm going to re-construct my Athlon XP system w/ a new Tbred hopefully running @ 10 x 200 right before school starts up again in late September, but for now, I just wanna get some memory that will be able to fit the bill.

QUESTION:

Are you asking; 1) Where to find these memory sticks? or 2) Do these manufacturers make these sticks? or 3) Which manufacturer should I buy from?

Answers:

1) = Try Newegg.com

2) = I know that Corsair makes them but only in CAS 2.5.

3) = Corsair have never let me down.......

Just picked up a single 512Mb Corsair PC3000 (183Mhz) DDR stick rated at CAS2 from Newegg about a month ago and it works great. I would even suspect that the PC3000 unit might even hit 200FSB with a few tweaks.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I was basically looking for user reports of people w/ DIMMS @ 400 mhz. I'll probably go w/ Corsair though.

Yeah, but some people just have to learn the hard way.

<==

Got some OCZ "PC-3000" DIMMs and they barely do 140FSB at CAS 2. Could be my mobo though.

Yeah, and hear this: I also bought a CPUFX Z4! Some people just don't have any luck, or are the last to hear about something that sucks.

The 2.1 revision of the XMS3000 and 3200 uses Winbond chips. The RamGuy @ the Corsair forums says this it's faster than the older revision Samsung and to look for a CAS2 400Mhz part soon. So if you need it now, get some XMS3000 rev 2.1.

I don't need any for a month or so... Think they'll be out by then?
