Default Hard disk stability issues

Hello!
Has anyone else encountered hard disk stability issues when overclocking the FSB on a VIA 266A based motherboard?
Blue screens claiming that "the bootable media could not be read", lost drivers after boot, applications crashing, etc.
Sorry to say, even Folding has finally stopped function. Runs for a minute before crashing. Now even with everything at factory default speed.
Yes, I know, such obsolete motherboards should have been sent to the local museum years ago.
regards
Mikael S.

Yeah...
The PCI/AGP is not lockable and since the HDD's piggyback off it your overclocking them too.
Your beat.
Get a new mobo.

And VIA keeps up the stubborn attitude with unlockable PCI/AGP clock speed, even on the KT800 (not that I could ram my Palomino on such a MB, even with a stout dose of violence), so I guess an nForce [whatever] is what I´m looking for.
Well, three weeks and a half to payday...
Any recomendations regarding nForce MB:s?
regards
Mikael S.

Sounds like the hard-drive has a bunch of corrupt data. Re-install? Manufacturer's drive checking tools?

I kinda like being able to overclock AGP/PCI - better bandwidth at 76/38 than 66/33.

msv : Abit, Asus and Epox are the ones you want to be looking at. get the best you can afford and play around with them as much as you can in within the return window, so you can get your money back if you dont like it.

Thanx guys!
I tried reinstalling yesterday, but the machine keeps throwing me the same blue screen. I´ve allready ordered a new MB, with nForce2 Ultra chip set.
What do they say? Experience is directly proportional to the amount of equipment ruined, or something like that.
