Quantum 4000 Keeps Shuting Down
My SnapServer Quantum 4000 keeps shuting down and I need to unplug it, plug it back in, and then restart it. And now it seems to be getting noisy. Is anyone familiar with these symtoms? Any ideas?

Re: Quantum 4000 Keeps Shuting Down
jhrBanker,
I believe it keeps shutting down because the unit might be over heating. Make sure the fan on the cpu and case fan are working properly. Quote:

Re: Quantum 4000 Keeps Shuting Down
Open top and listen, trouble shooting 101. My guess is a cpu fan.

Re: Quantum 4000 Keeps Shuting Down
As I said to David, the most likely issue is the CPU fan and the unit overheating. But, without telling us where the noise is coming from, it is a SWAG (Scientific Wild A$$ed Guess).
My real question is, does this guy even reply to people who answer him? How can we narrow this down further or tell him how to repair it without follow-up? |
