modifying your video card - advice needed
I'm planning on modifying a riva tnt2 ultra card. I have two and want to compare the gain of a modified card vs the stock card.
I plan on slapping a fop38 or a thermaltake orb on the thing as well as memory heatsinks. I want to epoxy them to the chips. Is there a danger of ruining the chips if i get the epoxy on the connector pins? Should i seal the pins with silicone first? Am i wasting my time with memory heatsinks? I'd really like to know about the silicone thing because i will need to add hsfs to my incoming iwill kk266 mobo's south and northbridges and don't want to screw them up :P Thanks ------------------ 1.2Tbird @1456 with winter air cooling...yeah baby! |

Be carefull, overclocking memory, especially the DDR chips, once they mess up, they are like that for ever. I had a friend who OCed his memory on his GF2. While it is still useable, depends on the definition of the word, its useless
