Increase volume size
Hi all,
Tried searching but no luck, I have a volume on a Snap 520 that only has 2MB of free space left. I browsed to the Storage->Volume->click on Volume name, it looks like I can enter the new larger size as I do have free space in the raid. My question is, is this an online change and is it a non-destructive change? We will have a backup in case but would prefer not having to resort to it. Thanks in advance |

Re: Increase volume size
Never ever make changes on a Raid or al Volume without a functioning backup.
Changing the Volumestructure is destructive. Greetings from Germany |

Re: Increase volume size
You can also add an expansion unit like the S10 and S30 to expand your volume. These can be done with out disrupting your current set. But there is a catch, if you go this way they are all tied together as one unit unless the expansion has a different volume name.

Re: Increase volume size
Note: Also concerning expansion S10 & S30. If you don't have an expansion card in your unit they are extremely expensive.
