Default Newbie here havent even touched watercooling yet.

I am posting to find out, whats teh best I can do with round 115$-130$ for cooling.
I want to make a sealed system with no resivor. just like the one that TOM made in his review at toms hardware.
actually his parts looked like quality. But
if you can, send me links for the: waterblock, Radiator, and Pump I should get for my system.

sorry, right now I am running an athlon 1ghz(AXIA) at 1.4 ghz. with air. I want a good water setup for this, that would keep at room temp still.
THANKS

OK, Tom's parts were not quality. Sorry to shed the light of truth on your eyes. He used Senfu stuff. We all had a good laugh about that.

Forget everything you read in Tom's article after "water is better then air".

Now go and do research. Read procooling's articles, www.overclockers.com water cooling articles and finally search through www.hardforum.com for specific info about individual parts.

But I will give you my own views. www.dangerden.com makes the best water blocks. 1/2 inch tubes are much better then 3/8. Ehiem is better then magdrive but probably not worth the costs. All copper systems are best. And Senfu does suck.

I think suck is an understatement when it comes to Senfu watercooling gear......

ok, I am looking at sites. Guys, I dont know all this slang yet for water cooling, but is SENFU a company or some type of cheap ass part or what?
Also, what parts do you recommend for building a system with no resivour.
THANKS

Senfu is a company producing low end watercooling stuff (alu waterblocks and radiators - they also have complete kits I think).

Go with some DangerDen stuff. A Maze-2 block and a Cube radiator. Get a nice 500 GHP pump, some tubes, and you're rather set. Kits are nice and all, but usually there is only one or two good things, and the rest is crap.

Nothing wrong with cubes, they work great. But you do have an equally compelling choice in a normal heater core type radiator. Personally I am probably going to use a regular heater core from Checkers Auto Parts becuase its half the price of a cube and won't kill my flow rates.

AFAIK all cubes use 3/8 inch tubes and have tons of turns. That takes a huge bite out of flow rates. Hence the need for a larger, hotter, more expensive and possibly louder pump. Rather I am going to use all 1/2 inch tubing with a radiator that is also all 1/2 inch with a minimum number of turns.

Do some research and pick the type thats best for your setup. Again let me say that dangerden does indeed kick ass. I can't wait to get my Maze 2.
