Default please help with my meanwell psu

Don't call me dumb as I am new to the pelt/tec community. I recently got a swiftech TEC cooler and therefore I found a meanwell psu to go along with it (it's the same meanwell they sell at swiftnets and dangerden i forget the model # off the top of my head).

Anyhow everything seemed fine, up until the point I had to get power INTO the meanwell. Wow what a bummer for me, I have no clue how to power the meanwell psu itself. There are three connections for it labeled very nicely but what do i use to power it? The standard AC plugs obviously don't work so now i'm left clueless. could someone please help me out and explain what to do (pics is a plus )

Also would it be wise to run the TEC cooler on my 470w vantec psu ? It meets the amperage requirements for 12v. I prefer to use meanwell though.

Any/all help is welcomed, thanks in advance

You have to cut the end of a power plug (like a computer power cord) and wire to the three connectors.

You should have power , neutral, and earth. ( i think )
green white and black.

Verify this first as I could be remembering wrong.

Errr... now that I think about it, black might be live, and white neutral...

You should google.

Even easier: take an outlet apart, and see which is colored which. (At your own risk, of course!)

Yep, white is "Neutral" and black is "Hot".

Wow. Let's give AC wiring advice without any thought to correctness!

There is no official standard for the coloring of wires, but ground is typically green, live is usually black or brown, and neutral is usually white or blue.

I found this page somewhat interesting:

Yeah, I should remember it by now, I'm just used to black being ground in DC circuits.
